( A )  Effects

Ragging
Ragging produces a lively, irregular pattern that adds texture to a flat wall. Depending  on the colour combinations, the pattern size and whether you are ragging on or ragging off, the technique is very versatile and lends itself to area applications.

Dragging
Dragging is a simple technique that produces a fine, linear texture. the effect is used in a number of other techniques but by itself adds a very interesting soft and subtle feel to a room.

Sponging
Sponging is a technique that is very similar to ragging but the use of an irregular sea sponge gives a crisp, mottled texture that has a interesting finish.

Colour Wash
A versatile technique producing a variety of effects, from a rustic country cottage look, to the feel of a  Mediterranean villa. This effect is very appealing, giving an illusion of depth and adding character to the plainest of walls.

Stippling
Stippling gives a charming gentle, "freckled" appearance. the overall effect is soft and tranquill. Stippling is ideal for bedrooms, living rooms and anywhere you want to relax and unwind.

Speckle
This effect is great fun to paint and captures the multi-coloured feel of natural rock and granite. it creates the pretence of living in ancient castles with all warmth and character of buildings made of granite.

Allure
A romantic ambience can be created in your room with this amazing effect. with blues and whites clouds are achieved . with pinks and cream, romantic sunsets. adding additional colours and highlights provides more definition, more imagery and greater atmosphere.

Linen
The light and subtle texture of this effect creates the illusion of expensive linen fabric. The subtle horizontal and vertical dragging leaves the characteristic fabric texture, while the vivid colour combinations create the image of linen.

Aquamarble
The appearance and sheen of polished stucco in your home can be created a number of ways. Rather than using a painted effect which tends to leave a slightly flat texture, use FUSIONS which easily and accurately re-creates the brightness of the colours, the textures, the feel and the almost transparent depth of colour found with traditional stucco plasters.

Taffeta
This effect is very similar to the Linen effect, but has a shimmer and shine more characteristic of taffeta. The subtle horizontal and vertical dragging leaves the characteristic fabric texture, while the metallic reflection of the FUSIONS Metal paint creates the sparkly image of taffeta.

Aged Plaster
Many of the traditional paint effects try to reproduce old and aged images.  Old plasters. Old woodwork. Old floors and bricks. Here Hempel re-creates an old plaster and introduces quite a theatrical element to our range of effects with this dramatic ages plaster effect.

Ruvido
This effect adds texture  to the wall and particularly when combined with the painted effect, re-creates a rough Moroccan/Mediterranean feel in the room. when used in earthy colours and with traditional interior designs, fabrics and furnishing Ruvido captures the essence of a desert lifestyle.

Fossil
This effect adds textural interest and suggests the age, permanence and weight of real stone. the subtle patterns create the illusions of ancient fossils that were captured at the time the stone was being formed.

Atlas
The texture of this effect suggest the natural formations of the earth with the combination of colours and groups of textures creating landmasses surrounded by sea.

Waves
The gentle circular swirls and colour combinations of this effect suggest the movement of waves in the sea. this effect creates a soothing feel to the rooms, one that only the suggestion of moving water could possible capture.

Metal Lace
The swiris of texture create a lacy effect, an image that is highlighted by the use of contrasting metallic colours for the final coat. the effect creates the image of a metal lace that has been placed onto the wall.

Metal River
The straight line of the texture suggest running water or a river running down to the sea. Added to that is the shimmering shine of the FUSIONS Metal paint that creates the image of molten metal streaming as in a river of metal.

Lava
The straight , flowing lines of the texture invoke an image of vivid running, liquid lava, particularly when combined with the fiery overlay of red and blue DANA matt Silk or eggshell Emulsion.
